Why are some words and phrases so fascinating whilst others are totally overlooked? Sometimes it is the bliss of discovering an unusual closeness between sound and meaning. Other times, we might just like the poetry in the language.
I am interested in how meaning is created, destroyed and shifted through language. In Found I work against meaning, where the spectator is confronted with a collision of words/phrases which disrupt meaning and at the same time create new meaning. |

Found is an ongoing performance/installation, where I am wearing an endless, white, paper like material, on which I am embroidering collected phrases with white cotton. While doing the work, I am quietly mumbling the words I am working into the material.
